When one leaves their house, they expect that they will be going back to it when they have completed whatever task it was that they stepped out to do. In most circumstances, people return home unscathed, but in the instances when they do not because of a tragic car accident, it can leave devastating effects on family members. Frustration, confusion and sorrow are just some of the emotions that loved ones go through as they try to come to terms with their loss.

These are perhaps the thoughts reverberating through the minds of a Louisiana family that lost a young couple in a fatal car crash in the early hours of the morning. The couple is survived by two young children who will now be raised without the guidance and affection of their parents.

According to the authorities, the deceased driver was a 30-year-old woman and her passenger was her 29-year-old husband. The car was headed north and went through the intersection on a green light. Unfortunately, another driver went through the same intersection when its light was red. This vehicle struck two cars — it sideswiped the front of one car and then hit the accident victims’ vehicle on the driver’s side. The driver who hit them was 34-years-old.

One way to get closure is to pursue a wrongful death or personal injury lawsuit against a negligent driver. Drivers on the road are supposed to adhere to traffic regulations and when they do not, they should be held accountable for their behavior. The compensation received through such a lawsuit can go a long way in covering costs associated with the accident.
